Today, we are announcing changes and expansion in Sigga Technology’s leadership team. Stephen Timms, Sigga Chief Revenue Officer has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer. This change follows the decision of Sigga Founder and CEO Warley Borges to transition away from day-to-day leadership of the business. Warley will remain actively engaged with Sigga as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. These changes go into effect immediately.
Warley founded Sigga Technologies 20 years ago to serve the needs of Enterprise Asset Management in large SAP customers. Having continually grown the company through this period as CEO, Warley has decided to get closer to his original entrepreneurial roots and has invited Stephen to lead the company through the next chapters. As Chairman of the Board, Warley will guide the company’s investments based on his depth of experience and vision in Enterprise Asset Management. Warley will also play a role in ensuring continuity in many of Sigga’s long-standing customer relationships.
Stephen Timms has been in the role of CRO since January of this year. With more than 20 years in software sales, including a decade in field service, Stephen was brought in to help take Sigga on its next growth journey. He has the passion and character to continue the legacy of Sigga values and customer service.
As Sigga expands and offers new and innovative software solutions, such as our ground-breaking no-code Empower platform, Stephen will focus on cementing our international footprint. “We’re excited to have Stephen lead the next phase of Sigga’s growth. Across large, asset-intensive customers, there is an increasing need for flexibility and configurability across core EAM processes, and Sigga is well positioned to meet these needs. We’re confident Stephen is the right leader to help Sigga’s customers maximize the value of the tools Sigga provides,” said Matt Tharp, Board Member at Sigga and Director of Portfolio Operations at Gemspring Capital.
Other leadership changes include:
- Gustavo Comanduci, CTO has taken on additional responsibilities as the President of Sigga Brazil to further support our long-standing relationships with customers in Latin America and provide local senior leadership to our large pool of employees located in Brazil. Gustavo has been with Sigga for 17 years and has made significant contributions to our technology roadmap.
- Marcelo Avelar has accepted the promotion to Director of Latin America Sales.
With a long, 20-year history of serving the industry, these changes usher in the next era of Sigga Technology’s innovation and contribution to Enterprise Asset Management at global asset-intensive companies with SAP.
